Milestone has recently announced exciting updates for the upcoming game Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. Along with the return of the single player campaign, the game will feature five brand new game modes when it is released on October 19, 2023. These modes aim to bring new challenges and experiences for players on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
One of the newly introduced modes is Elimination. In this mode, the slowest drivers will be eliminated every few seconds, adding a competitive twist to the race. Another new mode, Drift Master, encourages players to maintain precision and style while driving to earn points. The Waypoint mode focuses on exploration and discovery as players navigate through areas to find the fastest routes.
Additionally, there is the Grab the Gears mode, where players compete against each other to collect as many Gears as possible. Clash Derby, an online mode exclusive to Monster Trucks, will pit players against each other in intense battles.
The single player campaign in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged has been revitalized and improved. Players will accompany the protagonists, Robert and Darla, along with their robotic assistant XR046, in their mission to save the city. The campaign tells the story of their efforts to repair the chaos caused by Professor Tanabe’s accidental release of creatures into the city.
Building upon the success of the original game, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged offers an improved Track Editor that allows players to create their own content. The Track Editor now includes special modules and features that enable even greater diversity in the tracks created by users. Additionally, all user-created content will be cross-platform shareable from the game’s release day, giving players access to the best tracks on different platforms.
